Our tour is dedicated to three of the most famous churches of Ikaria and starts from Raches and Mounte Monastery located in the heart of
a chestnut forest close to Kastanies village.It's a very old church dating from 1460.Meanwhile you will have the opportunity to admire the "small dam" and the surrounding area.
Our second stop is at the temple of Saint Irene in Campos where the ruins of the ancient capital of the island, Oinoi still exist.
This is one of the most important Middle Byzantine monuments of Ikaria, built on the ruins of an early Christian basilica.
Our final destination is a true piece of art as the Monastery of Theoktisti is carved into a huge rock where you can admire the old wooden shrine of the monastery's church.In the same place you can visit an old house with folklore elements and old household objects.
